Waste Disposal
Waste Disposal
The waste management yard is situated adjacent to the landfill and has a pivotal role in preventing recyclable materials from being disposed of to landfill unnecessarily. Highly skilled and competent members of Crapper and Sons Landfill Ltd staff work tirelessly to produce recycled aggregates from waste for a greener disposal route than landfilling.
Please see below for details on the types of waste that we can accept on the Landfill, in the yard and the tipping requirements for all customers wishing to do either:
Whatever your business, if you generate waste we can help you to meet your legal obligations. If you would like a copy of our Waste Management License or Landfill Permit issued to us by the Environment Agency then please feel free to contact us.
Please note: we do not accept the following:
- Plasterboard;
- WEEE (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment);
- Hazardous Waste: asbestos, batteries, tyres, lights bulbs, fluorescent tubes, liquids, paint, paint thinners, oils or filters, fuel or filters, sleepers and other treated woods;

EWC Codes are descriptions that classify waste into categories according to how these wastes have been produced. These codes are required to be used when completing duty of care waste transfer notes and hazardous waste consignment note documentation under current legislation guidelines.
